Attention seekers of knowledge. Museum Day is coming!
What is Museum Day?
The Smithsonian Institution was established to increase and diffuse knowledge. To that end, the magazine of America’s national educational facility, with 19 of its own museums and 9 research centers, hosts Museum Day, an annual “celebration of boundless curiosity”. On Museum Day, participating museums and cultural institutions provide free admission!
This year, the event will take place on Saturday, September 22. There are over 1,400 participating centers of knowledge! Here’s a list of some of them:
Atlanta (full list) – David J. Sencer CDC Museum
Boston (full list) – Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
Chicago (full list) – Museum of Contemporary Art
New York (full list) – Museum of Arts and Design
San Diego (full list) – San Diego Air & Space Museum
Seattle (full list) – Museum of Pop Culture
